“He looked shocked and said…..” – Man who borrowed friend ₦40,000 recounts incident 2 weeks later

Two weeks after borrowing ₦40,000 from his friend, a Nigerian guy disclosed what happened.

The man described how his friend contacted him after he was on the verge of being evicted by his landlord due to overdue rent in a widely shared post on X.

The individual, who went by @mikelliberation on X (previously Twitter), revealed that his acquaintance had assured him that the money would be returned in two weeks.

But a month later, he still hadn’t given the money back.

Unexpectedly, he found his friend happily placing an order at a restaurant with a girl.

In the meantime, he approached the table and said hello to his friend, who was taken aback.

His acquaintance at the restaurant assured him that he would get his money back when he got home.

The friend texted him the following day to explain why he hadn’t yet issued a refund, but he didn’t reply.

In the meantime, X users have inundated the post’s comment section with discussions about how money affects friendships.
