A Nigerian guy was distraught after his wife apparently walked out of their marriage just five months after the wedding.

In a viral post on X (previously Twitter) sent by his coworker, Ebun, the man claimed to have met his wife when she was in the 300 level.

He was profoundly in love with her, especially because of her beauty, and went to great lengths to care for her. He lavished her with material possessions and even took out loans to do so.

When it came time to marry, he went all out, borrowing extra money to ensure the ceremony matched her appearance.

They eventually got married mid last year.

Trouble began when his workplace began to owe employees three months’ salaries, and his own business stalled. As money problems arose, the wife allegedly began to treat him rudely.

He confided in coworkers, who advised him to continue attempting to make money because he had already established a standard from the start.

Then came the shock.

One day in December, before the man returned from work, his wife had entirely packed.

Since then, the man has been crying excessively, not only because of the marriage, but also because he is still paying off the loans he took out for the wedding.
