Many social media users were amused by a Nigerian man’s candour as he shared his awkward yet hilarious first lift experience at the age of 28.

The man disclosed that, until lately, he had never used a lift, even though he was 28 years old. His open description of the event immediately struck a chord with a lot of people on the internet, with several acknowledging they could identify.

He claims that the instant the lift started moving, he was taken aback because he had not anticipated the minor tremor that accompanied it.

“Omoo from a young age ba, my kids will be well exposed. In my 28 years of life, today is the very first time I entered an elevator.”

He added, “I embarrassed myself. The moment it started moving, I wasn’t expecting that slight vibration. Na so I shout! The guy inside looked at me and asked, “First time?” I just said, “Yes.” Ahhh… shame wear me like Bubu gown.”

He clarified that after arriving at his location, he had another perplexing meeting, so the embarrassing moment did not finish there.

The man further stated, “I was going to the 3rd floor. When the elevator door opened, I just stood there thinking someone else wanted to enter. The guy looked at me and said, “This is your destination.” Ahhh!”

Since then, his story has sparked a lot of social media reactions, with many users praising him for candidly expressing a time that many people have silently faced themselves and finding the situation sympathetic.
