Controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has claimed that any Nigerian artiste hoping to win or even secure a Grammy nomination must first feature him on a song.
Speaking during an interview on Rubbin’ Minds on Channels Television on Sunday, July 19, the singer described himself as the “new-born Fela” and said his influence in the music industry is unmatched.
“If any artiste wants to collect Grammy in this Nigeria, if you don’t feature me, you won’t collect Grammy. If you want to collect a Grammy nomination, come and feature me. I am the new face. I am the new-born Fela,” he said.
Portable also boasted about his success in celebrity boxing, claiming he has made more than ₦100 million from the sport.
The singer is set to face actor Charles Okocha in a celebrity boxing rematch tagged “Unfinished Business,” which is scheduled to take place in Lagos.
