The hearing of Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, has been postponed until April 14th by Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of the Federal High Court in Kaduna.
Today, the court heard the former governor’s bail request. April 1st. After hearing arguments from the prosecution and defense, the court postponed the case.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) charged El-Rufai with ten counts that included alleged money laundering and conversion of public property.
He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
The court ordered that he remain in ICPC custody pending the hearing of his bail application on the fixed date.
The former governor arrived at the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a black Hilux vehicle, accompanied by DSS officials.
