Sophia Momodu’s lawyer, Ebelechukwu Egeonu Enedah, has filed a N1 billion lawsuit against Afrobeats musician Davido, amid an ongoing child custody fight.

Davido and Sophia Momodu have been in a custody fight over their daughter, Imade, since 2022.

The case relates to a heated court session on February 12, 2026, where Davido allegedly verbally abused Enedah and later made defamatory postings about her on social media, calling her the ‘worst lawyer ever’.

Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors sought a public apology, retraction of statements, and N1 billion in damages.

The lawsuit states that Davido has been given a 7-day deadline to meet the demands. Davido and Sophia Momodu’s Child Custody Battle.

Davido and Sophia Momodu’s child custody dispute has been going on since April 2024, with Davido requesting joint custody of their daughter, Imade.

The musician initially filed a lawsuit in Lagos State High Court, saying Sophia Momodu had denied him access to their child.

Sophia has argued that Davido has not seen Imade since July 2022 and has failed to meet his financial commitments, forcing her to bear expenditures like as school fees and rent.

Davido withdrew the complaint after Sophia’s counsel made an ugly comment about his late son, Ifeanyi, during court proceedings.
