Political forces in Abuja are allegedly planning to stop Peter Obi and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from campaigning in various states prior to the 2027 general elections, according to a guy going by the name Hayes Senta.
Senta claimed that Lagos, Rivers, and Anambra were particularly referenced in a purported directive in a video that was posted on social media.
Senta claims that the purported directive indicates that Obi and the NDC should not be permitted to run for office in any state, with a focus on the three states.
He asserted that security services may be utilised to thwart Obi’s campaign efforts, such as by denying him access to venues in Anambra State.
Senta questioned why Obi’s native state of Anambra, which was calm, would not allow him to run for office.
Additionally, he said that attacks on opposition supporters had already occurred in Rivers State.
“As a matter of fact, in River State, NDC members were attacked. Remember I told us about guarding that office. Guarding the obedient office too.”
Senta went on to say that attempts were being made to prevent opposition groups from holding campaigns in Lagos, citing MC Olumo in relation to the purported preparations.
“MC Olumo, all of them are gearing up to make sure that nobody will campaign in Lagos. Nobody will campaign in Lagos. The same system they used the other time, the same system they are going to use again this time.”
In response to the purported development, Senta urged Obi’s followers, the Obidient movement, members of the NDC, and supporters of Kwankwasiyya to oppose any effort to limit their campaigning.
He insisted that no one had a monopoly on what he called “madness” and urged supporters to react aggressively to what he called political intimidation.
“We are all Nigerians and nobody have the monopoly of madness. I’ve said this many times. How can anybody give instruction for Peter Obi not to campaign in any state in Nigeria?”
Politicians across, according to Senta, are gravitating toward President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He maintained that Nigerians who back Tinubu’s government don’t care about the interests of the nation.l
“So anybody that is supporting Tinubu does not mean well for Nigerians. Whoever you are, whoever you are, anybody that is supporting APC and Tinubu is an enemy of Nigeria, a very great enemy of Nigeria and should not be allowed to come back.”
