Delta State Government to Spend Over ₦2bn Sponsoring Christian Pilgrims to Israel and Jordan in 2026

The Delta State Government has committed over ₦2bn to sponsor successful Christian pilgrims to Israel and Jordan for the 2026 pilgrimage programme.

The State Commissioner for Bureau of Special Duties, Mr Erijo Etacherure, disclosed this in Asaba, adding that screening of intending pilgrims would begin on November 11, 2026.

He said successful applicants would receive full sponsorship and additional financial assistance during their stay in the Holy Land.
