Well-known comedian DeeAfrobeat musician Davido has been publically attacked for not attending music entrepreneur Soso Soberekon’s wedding, raising concerns about the singer’s connection with one of his long-time business associates.
The former BBNaija housemate stated in a video that has gone viral that Davido had no excuse for missing the event given Soso Soberekon’s contributions to his career over the years. He further claimed that he was not represented at the event by Davido or any member of his staff.

“With all the things Soso Soberekon has done for Davido, he was supposed to be the one arranging chairs at that wedding. Let’s even say you were busy, you couldn’t send a message or even post a tweet wishing him a happy married life.”
The comedian continued by accusing Davido of being jealous of coworkers who achieve greater success, claiming that the singer only wants others to succeed as long as they don’t outperform him.
Additionally, he insisted that Davido should have recognised Soso Soberekon by attending the wedding, claiming that Soberekon was instrumental in providing Davido with opportunities early in his career.
“He wants you to do well, but he doesn’t want anyone to be more successful than him. The wedding was still a success with private jets everywhere. Davido, adjust this character. Stop being envious and jealous of your colleagues. That was how he was close to Wizkid until Wizkid became better than him,” he added.
Days after Soso Soberekon’s lavish wedding ceremony in Warri, Delta State, which was attended by a number of celebrities and well-known entertainment industry people, DeeOne made his remarks.
Davido has not addressed DeeOne’s allegations as of the time this report was filed.
