Dad who sat for little daughter to draw him gets disappointed after seeing finished work

A parent has gained traction on social media after tweeting a funny anecdote about his daughter’s attempt to sketch him.

The post, published by @olajideobe on X, includes a photo of his small daughter’s drawing at home after asking him to sit still so she could paint a portrait. He consented, humorously telling her to make sure things went well.

However, when she delivered the completed artwork, it did not match his expectations. According to him, he originally conveyed his disapproval, telling her that the drawing was not visually appealing.

His reaction disturbed the young girl, who burst into tears. Realising the gravity of his remarks, the father swiftly changed his strategy and praised the picture to console her, later revealing that the compliment was a calculated ploy to calm her down.

Read what he wrote below;

“Last night, my 8y/o daughter asked me to sit still while I was watching TV and said to me that she wanted to sketch me. Comparing what she sketched to my real photograph, I still can’t see the similarity between the two. I commend her effort though, but I refuse to agree that that was me in her drawing. That thing doesn’t resemble me jur. 😁😁😁”
