Bandits threaten to k!ll kidnapped FCT victims over ransom delay

The abductors of 17 individuals from Kawu village in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory have threatened to kill the 11 captives who have not paid the ransom yet, citing their families’ failure to provide brand-new Bajaj motorcycles.

Remember that on January 11, 2024, bandits raided Kawu and abducted eighteen people, including a couple, the district head of Kawu’s children, and a female nurse.

On Monday, January 22, 2024, the bandits released four of the victims, but, after receiving N5 million, keeping the other eleven prisoners.

Speaking with Daily Trust on Sunday, January 28, a family member of four of the victims, Bala Danjuma, said the bandits’ leader called on Saturday morning and threatened to kill the remaining 11 victims over delay in paying their ransom.
