“As someone who got married for love 10 years ago, I really pity men and women of this generation” — Nigerian lady speaks on modern relationships

A Nigerian woman expressed her opinions on contemporary relationships, contending that material aspirations have progressively supplanted love.

She stated in a video that true love is about genuinely choosing someone over things like money, attractiveness, or what they can offer.

“Love is you choosing that person above every other thing. Love is the man takes away the money, the woman takes away the body, and they still want each other,” she said.

The woman, who claimed to have married for love ten years ago, disclosed that she hardly ever asked her spouse for presents or cash during their time together.

She contended that instead of true emotion, a lot of relationships nowadays revolve around phones, pricey presents, cash, and physical closeness.

“If you cannot choose that, you are not in love, you are in business,” she concluded.
