As a building in VI, Lagos burns down, many people are thought dead and others are injured.

According to reports, this morning’s explosion of a generator nearby started the fire.

There have apparently been numerous fatalities and serious injuries as a result of a fire outbreak on Adeola Odeku Street in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Tuesday morning, November 1.

According to reports, this morning’s explosion of a generator nearby started the fire.

Witnesses claimed that a Rapid Response Squad (RRS) car that was parked outside the structure had also caught fire.

Videos taken at the scene of the tragedy, which is claimed to have left a large number of people dead and other individuals seriously injured, showed individuals being rescued from the flames.

However, verifying the occurrence, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) reported that nine individuals—all adult males—suffered burns and other injuries in the fire and were transported to an undisclosed hospital.

“Investigation gathered at the scene revealed the fire emanated from the generator house,” LASEMA announced.
