Annie Macaulay, a popular Nollywood actress, recently revealed her relationship status at the AFRIMA awards.
The 9th edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) started on January 7, 2026 and ended with the main awards ceremony on January 11, 2026, at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites.
The actress revealed her relationship status after Adekunle Olopade, a BBNaija star, asked her on stage.
In response, Annie Macaulay confessed, “He’s a fine young man, though. I’m not going to lie”.
The actress further revealed that she stumbled upon Adekunle’s online stunt, prompting him to respond, “Anything you see there, it’s not me, I’m completely innocent”.
Annie Macaulay, on the other hand, was enraged when he introduced the word “innocent.”
It should be noted that 2Baba and Annie Macaulay’s split was publicised in January 2025, with 2Baba confirming their separation and plans for divorce.
The announcement spurred widespread discussion, with celebrities and fans expressing shock and displeasure.
However, Annie Macaulay formally revealed the split in May 2025 at the 17th Headies Awards, where she presented herself under her maiden name.
In an interview, 2Baba revealed that their marriage was no longer working and that they had an agreement.
