Paul Put, the head coach of Uganda, is getting ready for a big test as his team gets ready to play the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their final Group C match. The Cranes’ future in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will be decided when they play the Nigerian team on Tuesday. 

Uganda has a lot on the line because they need to win in order to have any chance of making it to the Round of 16. After their first games against Tanzania and Tunisia, the team now has just one point.


The Super Eagles, on the other hand, only need one point from this game to secure the top spot in the group and have already secured their spot in the knockout stages. 

The Belgian manager noted that defeating a team of Nigeria’s caliber is a formidable goal, acknowledging the difficulty of the task ahead.


He has encouraged his team to stay focused and competitive despite the pressure.

“I told the players we must keep believing and fight until the last game. We are disappointed, but we have to reset and prepare for Nigeria. It won’t be easy,” Put said ahead of the game.

 He noted that while the previous results were disappointing, the team must reset and prepare thoroughly for the challenge, reminding them that they must fight until the final whistle.
