A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has reacted to the remand of activist and presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore in Kuje Correctional Centre.

Sowore was remanded by an Abuja High Court on Monday, June 22, over allegations relating to his failure to appear in court during an ongoing trial connected to comments he made about President Bola Tinubu on social media.

Reacting to the court’s decision, Igbokwe expressed support for the ruling, stating that insulting President Tinubu “is not a career.”

“Nigeria is not a lawless country. Sowore has taken the law into his hands for years now. Protests on the streets, disturbing public peace, abu$ing law enforcement officers, encouraging k!llers in the South East, abu$ing PBAT, these are not a career.”
