2027: This is first time PDP won’t be on ballot, Tinubu worst-ever President, says Isaac Fayose

Nigerian businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has slammed President Bola Tinubu’s administration, calling it the worst in Nigeria’s history and claiming that there is widespread public discontent across the country.

Speaking on News Central TV, Fayose accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of stifling opposition parties and frustrating their campaign efforts ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

“This is the worst government in the history of our country. You don’t even need to ask me, go to the street and ask,” Fayose said.

“Over 67 percent of Nigerians have been crying since this government came.”

Comparing the current administration with that of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Fayose claimed that economic conditions have deteriorated significantly under the present government. He also alleged that ongoing political pressures could lead to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) being absent from the presidential ballot for the first time since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999.

“Before, we thought that Buhari was shege, but this one is shege pro-max,” Fayose said. “This is the first time since 1999 that PDP will not be on the ballot.”

Fayose further accused the administration of clamping down on opposition movements, citing cases where opposition figures were allegedly denied entry or permission to hold political events in states such as Benue and Akwa Ibom.

He claimed the president is shying away from direct campaign engagements with voters because there are no tangible achievements to showcase.
