2027: “APC must go” — Man explains why Nigerians should vote against Tinubu

Nigerians do not need to back Peter Obi in order to seek political change, according to a Nigerian man who has called on people to speak out against what he called poor governance.

The man made the comments in a video that went viral on social media, urging Nigerians to think about how their political choices will affect both their own and their children’s futures.

He claims that since Obi has already succeeded financially, Nigerians should concentrate on defending their own interests rather than seeing political criticism as an effort to elevate the former governor of Anambra State.

“You don’t have to like Peter Obi before you speak up against this bad government,” he said.

“Peter Obi has already made it in life. It is now left for you to protect your future and the future of your children by voting against Tinubu and APC in the next election. APC must go

The remarks are made as political activity heats up in anticipation of Nigeria’s national elections in 2027.

The complete list of 18 presidential candidates for the January 16, 2027 election was just released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has Peter Obi as its presidential candidate, whereas the All Progressives Congress (APC) has President Bola Tinubu.

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president, is also listed as an African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate.

The gubernatorial and State House of Assembly elections are set for February 6, 2027, while the presidential and National Assembly elections are set for January 16, 2027, according to the electoral commission.

The most recent remarks also coincide with ongoing discussions about how to oppose the APC in the 2027 election among political figures and opposition parties.

Opposition leaders have reportedly discussed cooperation, despite the fact that a number of prominent presidential contenders are now running on different party platforms.

Social media users have responded to the man’s comments, with some endorsing his claim that concerns about governance and the nation’s future should motivate political engagement.

One user, Charles, wrote: “The fight for a new Nigeria that works for the majority is a fight for personal survival.”

Another user, SylvesterIfe, said Nigerians were not doing Obi a favour by supporting political change, arguing that the former Anambra governor was already financially established.

“We’re not doing Peter Obi any favors because he’s already made man he’s doing well and whatever happened in Nigeria today can’t make him a poor man,” he wrote.

Another social media user, Sugarzaddy504, simply wrote: “TINUBU MUST GO !! TINUBU MUST GO !! APC MUST GO !!”
