A Nigerian man expressed his dissatisfaction after attending his child’s PTA meeting, stating the entire event left him stunned and far from what it used to be.
In a viral video published on X (previously Twitter) by @updateboyx, he noted that what was once a serious gathering of parents now feels completely different, as many of the people he encountered were too young to be there.
“PTA meeting has turned into a useless thing now. 2002 children have given birth and started acting as parents,” he said.
He noticed that practically all of the parents around him had tattoos and piercings, which made him think about how much things have changed.
According to him, it seemed awkward to sit among individuals he still considers “children” but who are now acting as full parents.
He also mentioned that one particular parent stood out throughout the meeting due to his attitude.
“Another one even did diamond teeth. Any small thing, he’ll start forcing a smile just to show his teeth. He doesn’t have anything to say, he just wants to show his teeth,” he said.
The video has prompted emotions online, with other viewers giving their thoughts.
One user wrote, “2002 don born reach PTA? Omo time no dey wait for anybody o 😭” Another added, “Na the diamond teeth part finish me. Bros just dey advertise him investment 😂”
