14-year-old mathematics genius beats competitors to win 7 medals across the world, set record

Fatima Adamu Maikusa, a 14-year-old mathematical prodigy from Nigeria, has a remarkable record after winning 7 medals in the discipline at several international competitions.

Fatima Adamu comes from Gombe in northern Nigeria and is presently a student at the Nigerian Turkish International School (NTIC) in Kano, Nigeria.

According to information given by her school, Fatima started learning mathematics when she was nine years old. She then goes on to win competitions like the American Mathematical Competition and the International Eduversal Mathematics Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia (AMC 08).

She also won first place in the International Math Challenge in Bangkok, Thailand, the Komodo Math Festival in Indonesia, the Future Intelligence Students Olympic Games, and the Mathematics without Borders competition in Bulgaria.

For Fatima Adamu Maikusa, I’m glad. Another incidence included a 15-year-old British-Nigerian youngster who had found a new mathematical formula and was referred to as a scholar.

A young boy named Chika Ofili became one of the youngest mathematicians after coming up with a technique for solving a number of division problems fast.
