A Nigerian woman has sparked heated debate online after expressing her strong opinions on relationships, money, and first impressions.

According to her, men who do not have money should avoid contacting women entirely, emphasising that financial capacity is non-negotiable in dating and partnerships.

She stated that a first date should be serious, and that where a guy takes a woman impacts whether she will consider a relationship with him.

“If you are a man without money, stay away from women. “We need money for maintenance,” she explained.

The lady mocked males who bring women out to fast-food restaurants, questioning the rationality of spending merely ₦10,000 on a first date.

She viewed such spending as a significant red flag, indicating a lack of willingness to commit.

“Why will a man spend ₦10k on a first date? That is not a red flag, that’s a red sea. Imagine asking me out and taking me to Chicken Republic,” she added.

Her statements have since divided social media users, generating heated conversations on multiple platforms.

Reacting to her statement, one user wrote, “Some of you don’t want love, you want sponsorship.” Another commented, “Dating is not charity. If you don’t have money, focus on yourself first.”
