A Nigerian mother has generated outrage online after giving her daughter unusual advise on evaluating a new lover.
In a popular video published on X (previously Twitter), the woman claimed that waiting two months after meeting a new spouse to celebrate your birthday is a way to assess his thoughtfulness and commitment.

“When you get a new boyfriend, your birthday will be two months after you meet him, no matter what time of the year you met him. That way you’ll see what he’s capable of doing.”
