Young Nigerian man wins scholarship to study Mechanical Engineering in 3 US and Canada universiti

Young and talented Nigerian Goodluck Obi Agu has received scholarships to study for master’s and PhD degrees from three universities, including the University of Alberta, the University of Alabama, and the University of Rochester in New York, United States.

Goodluck Agu started his post-secondary studies at the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta, South-West Nigeria, where he eventually earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.

After completing his undergraduate degree, he applied for a number of scholarships and was awarded Fully Funded Scholarships at universities in the US and Canada.

“This past application cycle, I also received a couple of other exciting offers, notably: the University of Rochester—where I got selected as recipient of the Robert Chen fellowship, and the University of Alabama—where I received a direct PhD-ship,” he wrote on LinkedIn.

Nonetheless, he made it clear that he had chosen to accept the offer from the University of Alberta and had already begun his Master’s program in Mechanical Engineering there.
