With his outstanding pharmacy degree, Nigerian star Adebisi Yusuff Adebayo has created history by receiving scholarships to four (4) of the UK’s premier institutions.
The University of Ibadan in South-West Nigeria awarded Yusuff Adebayo a first-class Bachelor of Pharmacy degree that was remarkable (B.Pharm). He graduated among the top students from the university.
Yet, the determined young guy continued to pursue his love of study as his top goal and applied for scholarships in the UK. The Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Nottingham, and Southampton are just a few of the prominent UK universities to which Yusuff stated he applied for scholarships.
After reviewing his applications, all four universities offered him scholarships to attend their respective institutions. He obtained both an MPH in Global Health and an MPhil in Public Health Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
He obtained offers from the University of Southampton and the University of Oxford for an MSc in Global Health and an MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology, respectively.
One of the eight scholars chosen for admission to the University of Oxford, Yusuff Adebayo, stated that after being offered the option to choose between the four options, he chose to enroll there on a fully financed scholarship.
“It is an honor to be one of the eight Commonwealth Shared Scholars nominated by the University of Oxford and to have been accepted into this highly competitive program,” Yusuff wrote on LinkedIn.
The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship is given out each year by the UK government, allowing international students to study at UK universities for free.
