Woman Allegedly St@bs Five Children, K!lling Two, After Husband Takes Second Wife

A Kenyan woman has allegedly st@bbed five of her children, k!lling two and seriously injuring three others, following a reported domestic dispute with her husband over his decision to marry a second wife.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred on August 20, 2026, at the family’s home in Bunga, Ggaba, Kampala’s Makindye Division, Uganda.

The suspect, identified as Dorothy Namayo, 43, allegedly att@cked her children after a confrontation with her Malian husband, Ederisa Troy, who had reportedly taken another wife.

One of the children, 14-year-old Khadija Daizy, reportedly d!ed at the scene after sustaining a stab wound to the neck. Another child, seven-year-old Hawa Dalena, later d!ed at Nsambya Hospital while receiving treatment.

Three other children, aged 13, eight and five, survived the alleged att@ck and are receiving medical treatment.

Namayo is currently receiving treatment at Mulago National Referral Hospital under police guard as detectives investigate allegations involving murder, attempted murder and arson.

Preliminary investigations reportedly indicate that the incident followed months of domestic disagreements between Namayo and Troy after he allegedly married a second wife.

The family’s housemaid, Mariam Saana, reportedly told police that the couple had been frequently quarrelling since May.

According to her account, Troy allegedly wanted sons because Namayo had only daughters.

On the morning of the incident, Saana reportedly heard a commotion from the main house and discovered that a car outside was on fire. One of the children was allegedly seen calling for help from a window and saying their mother had st@bbed them.

Neighbours were alerted after Saana reportedly found the main gate and doors locked. They eventually forced their way into the house and helped rescue the injured children, who were taken for medical treatment.

The incident remains under investigation as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the d3aths and injuries.
