“With absolutely no due respect Remi! thunder fire you” — DJswitch fires at Tinubu’s wife

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has come under fire from media personality and activist DJ Switch for pushing Nigerians to pursue small-scale ventures like selling akara, roasting maize and making kuli-kuli.

The First Lady stated in a recent video that the government was trying to offer people hope through grants and social intervention programs, pointing out that it doesn’t take much money to start enterprises like akara and kuli-kuli manufacture.

According to her, the administration has also made investments in a number of humanitarian causes, such as efforts to fight food malnutrition, support for breast cancer, and treatment for tuberculosis.

Oluremi Tinubu claims that her office has persisted in offering scholarships, ICT training, and other assistance programs meant to enhance Nigerians’ quality of life.

“We’ve encouraged Nigerians as best as we could. What is within our hands, I have given and I keep giving,” she said.

Additionally, the First Lady advised Nigerians to maintain hope, emphasising that President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” is intended to instill optimism in the populace.

“We have to renew our hope and that’s how we renew our hope. We are a very proud nation,” she added.

In response to the remarks, DJ Switch moved to social media to voice her disapproval, contending that the government need to concentrate on building infrastructure and chances that can equip people for a world where technology is developing at a rapid pace.

“With absolutely no due respect, Remi! Thunder fire you! While other nations are creating spaces and infrastructure to develop their people for this rapidly technologically advancing world, you want us to sell kuli kuli?” she wrote.

The activist further criticised those supporting the First Lady’s remarks, adding, “I can’t express how much I despise you people.”
