Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has said that her dedication to personal values has kept her from becoming a billionaire.
The acclaimed actress revealed the information during an appearance on The Afropolitan Show, where she discussed some of the difficult decisions she has made over her career.
“If I wanted to be a billionaire I would have been it easily because I have been in situations where no one would have known and I would have taken things and compromised my stands, but I would say no, and I would walk away.
Many times, and some of those people are even watching me today,” she said.
According to Omotola, she was presented with various possibilities that offered significant financial rewards but needed her to violate her ideals.
However, she added that she chose to walk away from such offers, stating that being true to her ideals was more essential than the money involved.
In a recent interview, the actress confessed that she once received a car as a gift while married, and her husband was fine with it.
She went on to say that guys, like women, receive support and presents from admirers.
Despite rejecting down rich chances, Omotola insisted that staying true to herself had yielded advantages beyond monetary value.
