Peller, a content developer, has replied to criticism for giving his girlfriend, Jarvis, a premium AMG automobile for her birthday while buying another car for his mother.
It should be noted that the TikToker gifted his girlfriend a new Mercedes-Benz AMG for her birthday yesterday.
This occurs after they reconciled following their split. However, netizens have resorted to the comments section to attack him for purchasing a costly automobile for his fiancée and a less expensive one for his mother.
Peller responded to the outcry by arguing that public perception frequently influences how such gestures are interpreted.
According to him, purchasing a car for one’s mother is generally considered as a responsibility because she raised and cared for her child, whereas giving a girlfriend a car is viewed as a more significant display of wealth and generosity.
He claimed that his mother first desired a Toyota valued at approximately ₦9 million because to its lower maintenance expenses.
He chose to purchase her a Hyundai valued ₦20 million instead.
He went on to say that even if he had bought exactly what she asked for, critics would have found fault with his selection.
Peller insisted that his gesture toward his partner was simply an expression of affection, querying why the move sparked outrage and stating that he feels profoundly for her.

“Being rich is not by what you buy for yourself, or what you buy for your mummy. If you buy it for your mummy they’d say it is out of pity because she don take care of you from small. She deserve am. That one na normal thing.
Buying your girlfriend a car is the best way to show people that you’re rich. My mum wanted a 9million Toyota because of maintenance but I bought her a 20million Hyundai instead. If I had bought her exactly what she requested for people would’ve dragged me.
E come be like na me be the first person to car for girl. Ordinary small car for my baby. I love my baby o.”
