In a recent Facebook post, Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that a major operation had been carried out targeting senior figures within Iran’s power structure.
He stated that the action resulted in the elimination of Ali Larijani, whom he described as a central figure connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Netanyahu portrayed the group as a dominant force influencing Iran’s internal affairs and decision-making processes.
According to him, the operation also led to the killing of a commander affiliated with the Basij, which he characterized as an auxiliary unit linked to the Revolutionary Guards.
He alleged that this force plays a role in enforcing control within Iranian cities, including the capital, Tehran, and is involved in activities aimed at suppressing the civilian population.
Emphasizing the significance of the action, Netanyahu framed it as a direct strike against individuals he accused of driving repression and instability within Iran.
He suggested that removing such figures would weaken structures he believes are responsible for internal enforcement and regional influence.
“This morning we Eliminated Ali Larijani. Ali Larijani is the boss of the revolutionary guards, which is the gangstars that actually runs Iran. We Eliminated alongside him the commander of the Basij- this is the aid of the gangstars, who spreads terror on the streets of Tehran and other cities of Iran against the population.”
