Two voters reportedly shot dead by hoodlums at polling unit in Edo

In Benin, Edo State, two voters were fatally murdered at their polling places.

On election day, Saturday, February 25, the victims—Idahosa Festus and Elizabeth Osadebamwen—were slain at their polling place at Ogheghe, Sapele road.

When the thugs invaded the polling place at around 7 o’clock in the evening and began shooting randomly, the victims had already cast their ballots and were apparently waiting for the vote to be counted.

Twitter has been used by friends to express their condolences.
