In Benesheikh, Borno state, soldiers from 29 Brigade, Operation HADIN KAI, in cooperation with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have detained a suspected recruiter for Boko Haram.
Credible information from an informant was used to identify the suspect and connect him to terrorist recruitment activities.
On March 24, the suspect was captured in a well-planned operation by local troops and CJTF members.
While additional investigations are underway to identify the suspect’s network and potential accomplices, authorities said the suspect is currently in custody and will be handled in accordance with established protocols.
