Pastor Sarah Omakwu has criticised men who keep girlfriends while expecting their wives to remain faithful, describing such behaviour as hypocrisy and double standards.
The cleric made the remarks in a video she shared on her social media page, where she spoke about adultery, forgiveness and commitment in marriage.
Speaking about how men react to infidelity compared to women, she said: “Men cannot stand adultery. It is easier for a woman to forgive a man. A man will never forgive a woman.”
Addressing men who engage in extramarital relationships while demanding faithfulness from their wives, she said:
“But I want to tell you men that if you are one of those keeping girlfriends but your wife cannot keep a boyfriend, you are a hypocrite. You are double standard because what is good for the goose is good for the gander. If a woman cannot follow a man, you can’t follow a woman.”
Emphasising the importance of commitment and remaining faithful to one’s marriage partner, she added:
“When you decide to choose one person to marry, it means I have looked at all the men in the world and all the women and I decided you are the one. So come rain, come shine, we are together.”
To all the Men Keeping Girlfriends While Expecting Their Wives Not to Have Boyfriends, You are Hypocrites — Pastor Sarah Omakwu
