Three people thought to be political thugs have reportedly been slain by military personnel in Benue State’s Gboko Local Government Area.

Moses Agure-Dam, an eyewitness, claims that the event happened when the suspects broke into polling places 026 and 004 in Gboko South during an election in order to take ballot boxes and the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, or BVAS.

“The thugs broke into the voting locations and ruined the election. They numbered three, and one of them attempted to steal the BVAS while the other two attempted to steal ballot boxes. The nearby soldiers immediately opened fire on them, killing them all, according to the witness.
