“Their counterparts are focused on researches and grants” Nigerians react as LASU opens bakery to increase its Internally generated Revenue (IGR)

Nigerians have responded on Twitter to the Lagos State University’s (LASU) decision to open a bakery and start making bread in order to boost its internal revenue (IGR).

Using its official Twitter account, LASU praised the Vice Chancellor for the initiative and announced that going forward, LASU bread would be the only bread available on campus.

Reacting, Nigerians questioned the institution for chasing out other bread competitors in the institution to have a monopoly. 

Others pointed out that universities abroad are doing bigger things to increase their IGR.
