A Nigerian scholar, Dunswort Gabriel, has taken to Twitter to advise Nigerian men who intend to marry women based in Nigeria and move them abroad, to stop ‘’marrying, educating and investing in illiterates and impoverished women.”

According to him, when these women get empowered, they lose fate in their marriage as love was not the reason for the union. He further stated that poverty and hardship precondition many women to marry men based abroad.
