Sky turns red in Western Australia as Cyclone approaches

Ahead of an impending tropical cyclone, residents in some parts of Western Australia witnessed an uncommon and striking natural phenomenon: the skies turned a deep red.

The uncommon occurrence was photographed at a Denham caravan park, where the sky and surrounding area were covered in a deep crimson color that created what witnesses called a “incredibly eerie” atmosphere.

Reports state that the phenomenon happened as Tropical Cyclone Narelle approached the area. According to experts, such red skies can occur when powerful storm-related winds carry a lot of dust or other particles into the atmosphere, changing how sunlight is dispersed.

The cyclone was later downgraded to a subtropical storm, but the dramatic visuals left a lasting impression on residents and quickly gained attention online. Authorities continue to monitor weather conditions and advise residents to stay updated with official forecasts.
