A Nigerian student has shared a disturbing narrative of alleged sexual harassment during her Industrial Training (IT), claiming her supervisor of refusing to sign her logbook after she turned down his approaches.
The article, which was posted on X (previously Twitter), generated fury online, with many advocating for tougher job protections for kids.
The lady mentioned in her message that the problem started just a few days after she resumed her IT placement.

“My IT supervisor refused to sign my logbook because I wouldn’t sleep with him.”
According to her, the supervisor had told her privately that he liked her and wanted to “take care of me.”
When she questioned his marital status, she asked, “Sir, aren’t you married?”
He admitted to being married, but stated that his family were outside of Nigeria and that he only visited them once every three months.
She replied forcefully, “Sir, I don’t do married men, oo.” Despite her refusal, she claimed that he persisted to urge her.
She claimed he started sending her money every day, including weekends, and described it as “lunch money.”
She also stated that he constantly invited her to his home, but she declined each time. Concerned about the issue, she notified her father.
Her father reportedly cautioned her to be cautious and never to go to the man’s residence.
The problem worsened just before the completion of her training.
She reported that she turned in her logbook for signature three days before finishing the curriculum.
Although he first accepted it, she claims he added a condition on the last day.
She quoted him as saying, “You’ll have to come to my house to pick it, or forget about it.”
According to her, the connotation was clear: refusal may result in a “automatic extra year.”
Distressed, she said she immediately called her father and provided him the supervisor’s phone number.
Moments later, she claimed the supervisor walked into the general office, put her logbook on the table, and exclaimed, “CONGRATULATIONS!”
