After being released from police prison, controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, took to social media to thank his legal team.
The artist, who was released from jail Friday night after being detained earlier for the duration of his bail terms, underlined the value of having knowledgeable attorneys in a post on his Instagram page.
Recall that Portable, who was charged with three counts at the Ifo magistrate court on Monday, April 3, was given bail in the amount of N300,000 and required to produce two sureties who owned landed properties nearby.

He suggested that those who are in problems hire attorneys who are knowledgeable in their field.
“Try to mingle with better lawyers that know Law”, he said.
This comes after a well-known attorney, Inibehe Effiong, claimed that the contentious singer Portable was a nightmare client for all attorneys.
Remember how the musician resisted being taken into custody after some police officers entered his bar to take him into custody on Tuesday for refusing to accept a number of invitations?
The musician has admitted that he purposefully rejected the police’s order to enter the building, and in response, the lawyer posted on his Facebook page that the singer is the kind of client who will act and speak in a way that is opposed to a lawyer’s plan of action.
He wrote;
“When it comes to having problematic, difficult, and deviant clients, Portable is every lawyer’s nightmare. He is the type of client that will be doing things and making comments that are counter productive to a lawyer’s strategy.”
