SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokeswoman for the Lagos State Police Command, has responded to charges made by female police officer Fauzziyah Ebunoluwa Isiak that she was arrested on May 24 for insisting that her resignation letter be accepted.

Isiak attracted fans’ attention earlier today when she appeared on the app to criticise the cops for holding her. She claimed to have been employed by the force for six years and that last year she submitted her resignation; however, it has not yet been accepted. She stated that she was held right away after being summoned by the state’s deputy commissioner of police yesterday.

Reacting via his Twitter handle, Hundeyin said Isiak was detained because she absconded from duty. He said she will also be made to face a disciplinary committee for coming on social media to present a false claim.
