Netizens were shocked when a user on the microblogging site X (previously Twitter) revealed the reasons behind his breakup with his ex-girlfriend.

@Honestarsenal, an X user, revealed that he had to wait a year for his ex-girlfriend to accept his proposal.

The X user claims that he almost turned down an admissions offer to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) at the beginning of their relationship.

‎”I almost forfeited the admission because of her. I felt like I had finally found love, and I didn’t want school to separate us.During my first three months in school, we were always talking and I got carried away with love instead of focusing on my studies. It was during my first test that I realized my life was already starting to spoil because I couldn’t concentrate”, 

But when he got home from college, his ex-girlfriend visited him and took a memory card and his father’s charger.

When he confronted his ex-girlfriend, she admitted to stealing the things and gave them back.
