One of their academic grads was shocked to see her diploma waiting for her in the surgery room from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Because she delivered delivery, the academic known as Jada Sayles was unable to attend the Dillard University graduation ceremony in New Orleans.

“I thought I was gonna walk across the stage to get my degree, instead I got my baby,” Sayles tweeted.

Interestingly, after hearing about her delivery, the University pleasantly surprised her by delivering her degree to the hospital.

While still in the hospital with her newborn son, she received her Dillard University graduation, allowing her to celebrate two achievements on the same day. Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough, the retiring president of the historically Black university, decided to give her the diploma in her hospital room.
