Prince William and Kate Ignore Questions About Prince Harry’s Book During Visit To Hospital

William and Kate dodged questions about Prince Harry’s incendiary memoir as they made their first public appearances since the tell-all’s release.

As the Prince and Princess of Wales entered the brand-new Royal Liverpool University Hospital, a reporter yelled, “Do you ever plan to remark on Harry’s book sir?”

After being greeted by senior hospital staff members, the pair ignored the question and started their tour of the critical care ward, where they met nurses and other caregivers for critically ill patients.

When the visit was over, they met hospital volunteers in the atrium of the building and went on a lengthy tour, shaking hands, thanking personnel, and taking photographs with the delighted NHS employees.

One elderly woman, who had an appointment at the hospital, stood against a barrier waiting to talk to the future King and when he stopped she grasped his hand.

The 81-year-old, who only gave her first name Sylvia, said ‘Keep going Will, scousers love you’, and he replied: ‘I will do.’

Meanwhile, the King was asked whether he was ‘hurt by the comments in the book’ during a visit to community groups in Aberdeenshire.

Charles was reportedly being driven away when the question was called out and it is unclear whether His Majesty even heard it.

According to Penguin Random House, Harry’s contentious autobiography, Spare, has seen the fastest non-fiction book sales in history.

On Tuesday, the first day it was available for purchase, the publisher stated that more than 1.4 million copies had been sold.

In the book, it is said that the King was envious of the Duchess of Sussex and the Princess of Wales and that the Prince of Wales physically assaulted Harry and made fun of him for having panic episodes.

The reports of a strained friendship between Meghan and Kate were confirmed when Harry related how the princess, who was expecting Prince Louis at the time, demanded an apology from his wife after she had remarked that Kate had “baby brain” because of her “hormones.”

He shed further light on the row over Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress claiming, contrary to reports at the time, Kate was not in tears but the incident had left Meghan ‘sobbing on the floor’.
