President Buhari honoured Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima with the titles of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON) today, May 25, in Abuja.

In Nigeria, receiving a GCFR is the highest distinction possible.

The wives and kids of the politicians, together with their close friends and allies, were present for the ceremony. On May 29, President Buhari will cede control to Tinubu.
