PPRO Olumuyiwa strongly disagreed with the officer’s actions, calling them ludicrous and unprofessional.
The viral video showing a police officer opening a car door for emerging artist Spyro has drawn harsh criticism from the Nigerian Police Force’s public relations chief, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
You may remember that Spyro, the singer of the popular song “Who is your guy?,” posted a video of a visit to his old flat before he became famous.
He entered the area in a Prado Jeep while being escorted by police, and one of the officers unlocked the car’s door for him.
In response to the video, PPRO Olumuyiwa strongly disagreed with the officer’s actions, calling them ludicrous and unprofessional.
The spokeswoman added that the appropriate police departments and divisions will get the footage in order to locate the officer.
He tweeted,
“This is indeed unprofessional and ridiculous. The video will be sent to relevant offices and units to fish him out. We will stop some deployments or attachments asap. U can imagine him (guess an inspector of police), moving with and opening the door for him.
Every man in life must have dignity and high esteem. Not only the policeman, but many people lose their dignity for unnecessary gains, projections, assumptions, and undue affluence just to gain something. Na wa oo.”
