The 30-year-old pregnant Mrs. Eucharia Ndigwe has been detained by the Lagos State Police for reportedly using a knife to inflict injury on the body of her teenage maid in Adaloko in the state’s Ojo district.
A child named Chinaza Anienene from Anambra State who has an open wound and blood pouring out of her left side.
The kid revealed that her aunty had stabbed her to death because she had neglected to wash a bag the woman had given to the youngster.
The neighbour said that he heard the teenager’s cry again on Friday May 19, and decided to visit the apartment, where he found blood dripping from the girl’s body.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident, said the woman was arrested on Saturday, May 20, 2023, by the Ijanikin Police Division after the police got information that the victim, one Florence Anienene, was injured with a knife by her aunty.
“The woman was arrested. It was discovered that she is heavily pregnant and was transferred to the Gender Unit of the command where they will work with the Lagos State Domestic, Sexual and Gender Violence Agency,” the PPRO said.
“While she is there, they will take care of her medically while investigation is ongoing,” he added.
