The internet has been flooded with images of late Nollywood star Saint Obi’s opulent home in his native Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State.
The images were posted online after renowned journalist and director Zik Zulu Okafor described how Saint Obi’s marriage caused him to become estranged from his friends and acting profession.
Zik, a close friend of the actor who tragically passed away on Saturday, May 13, after a protracted illness, offered a thorough account of the unfortunate circumstances that led to Obi’s passing in an essay.
He disclosed that Saint Obi had wed a senior executive from a telecoms business and that her siblings had always thought of him as a “gold digger.”
He claimed that Saint Obi’s wife’s siblings harassed him continuously, which ultimately caused their marriage to end.
Following his passing, Uche Nworah, who is reportedly a member of the advisory board at Awka Millenium City, posted images of the actor’s Imo state residence on Facebook.
In the house situated on a sizable parcel of land, the late actor had honored his ancestors.
Uche captioned the post,
“Honouring The Ancestors
“Late actor Saint Obi (Obinna Nwafor) even in death passes on an important message of honouring one’s ancestors. New pictures have emerged showing his palatial home in his native Alaenyi Ogwa village, in Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State.
“A conspicuous signboard in the sprawling estate honours his Umuezealaeze ancestors listing their names; Mazi Duruoriaku & Lolo U (Great-Great-Great Grand father and mother), Mazi Iwuoha and Lolo E (Great-Great Grandfather and mother), Mazi Amadi and Lolo N (Great Grandfather and mother), Mazi Nwafor and Lolo Nwajiocha (Grandfather and Mother), and Mazi Melford and Lolo Millicent Nwafor (Father and mother).”
