Peter Obi Saved My Life When I Was Arrested and Labelled as a Terrorist in Anambra – Northerner Narrates

A northerner who happens to be a truck driver in Anambra State during Peter Obi’s governorship tenure has narrated how his life was saved by Peter Obi during the Anambra State crisis.

Speaking in an interview aired by Arise TV, he said that he and some of his brethren were arrested and labeled as terrorists because they formed a security team to protect themselves.

He narrated how Peter Obi came to their rescue, ensured their safety, cared for them, and made sure they regained their freedom after interacting with them.

“I’m a truck driver who was attacked during the crisis in Anambra State when Peter Obi was the governor. We ran a security formation for our safety but we were arrested and detained as a terrorist. But when Peter Obi came, he interacted with us and he told the security men to take good care of us. After a few days, a car was sent to pick us up but I think where they kept us even at the government house because our minds were at peace, no beating, no insults at all.”

“He came to us and reintroduced himself as the state’s governor, he asked us how it happened and we told him. Like myself then I was a driver, some are our passengers, he apologized for what happened.

“He told us to relax our minds and that nothing is going to happen to us again. After everything was calm, we came out and even saw that my car was burnt. But seeing that he apologized, we accepted destiny, but we are grateful since our lives have been saved by him.”
