On Monday morning, the veteran Nollywood actor Prince Adewale Adeyemo passed away, causing new grief in the Yoruba entertainment business.

The actor reportedly died after battling an unspecified ailment.

In a statement on his Instagram page, fellow actor Kunle Afod confirmed the news of his passing.

Sharing a picture of the deceased, Afod wrote a message expressing his condolences, “Hmmmm God you know best. Rest in peace Prince Adewale Adeyemo. He passed on early hours of today after a brief illness. God will comfort all his family, friends and colleagues.”

This tragic occurrence occurred shortly after a night of remembrance for another deceased actor, Murphy Afolabi, who passed away on May 14, 2023, was hosted by the Yoruba film community.
