An old video of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike denouncing the practice of sending children overseas to study law has been uncovered by Nigerians.

This occurs just days after his son graduated from Kings College in London with a master’s degree in law..

The former governor of Rivers State, Wike, stated in the video;

‘’Some of these courses, you don’t need to send them abroad. What we have said in our own case is to say Listen, why do you have to send somebody who wants to read English abroad? why do I want to send somebody who wants to study Economics overseas? Why do I want to send somebody who wants to read Law overseas? When you know we have very good faculties in these areas in Nigerian universities”
