Nigerian midfielder Quadri Liameed was knocked unconscious by an opponent during a league match in Spain.
Liameed was in action for Sabadell against Albacete when the incident occurred on Saturday night, October 31, 2026.
He was hit on the head by Albacete’s Jose Corpas, who was trying to volley a loose ball in the air.
Liameed collapsed unconscious and was rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
Sabadell later disclosed that Liameed regained consciousness at the hospital and was placed under further observation and tests.
Following the 2-1 defeat to Albacete, Sabadell confirmed that the 24-year-old midfielder had been discharged from the hospital.
The tests revealed no further medical issue, and he will return to Sabadell with the team.
